PROJECT
MANAGERS AND TROUBLESHOOTERS
Able to
work in the UK and Continental European
locations |
|
| The
pressure on TPL to deliver teams of
capable people at very short notice
is drawing heavily on our database
and we always like to attract new
applicants with this encouraging message
about the new opportunities.
The
kind of people we are looking for
are experienced warehouse and transport
operations managers who are free to
go anywhere in the UK and Continental
Europe, and quickly become effective
in an often chaotic environment. Sometimes
the task will be day-to-day backfilling
for internal staff seconded to projects.
In other cases the interim managers
will be in charge of a project.
All
assignments promise to be challenging
and varied. Most projects reveal unforeseen
hurdles as they progress. In many,
but not all cases, interim managers
and the companies who take them on
evolve more permanent arrangements,
leading to full employment contracts.
If it does not conclude in a permanent
assignment there are always new projects
and the experience will look good
on your CV.
This
kind of role requires experienced
operations or projects managers who
have managed major changes and know
intuitively that they have to expect
the unexpected. This capability will
have been gained through planning
and managing start-ups and business
transfers. You should be resourceful
and organised and able to calm and
organise others. Great satisfaction
is possible from seeing the results
of changes and improvements that would
not have happened without your involvement.
